The pigments in the ColuxGlow colours belong to the so-called alkaline earth aluminates

The ColuxGlow night glow paints and night glow inks are coating systems that contain special night glow pigments that can be charged with UV energy from daylight or artificial light. This charge is then re-emitted to the environment over time as visible light in a specific wavelength. Such a luminous effect in yellow-green or blue is called a photoluminescence or colloquially also known as phosphorescent which is chemically no longer true! The water-insoluble harmless pigments consist of aluminate with rare earths in the metal lattice. They are suitable for the production of night glow paints, lacquers, coatings and plastics as well as glass.

All our ColuxGlow paint formulations contain a binder, fillers, colorants and a high proportion of photoluminescent pigments.
